Special
Services Division
The Falmouth Police Department’s Special Services Division is responsible for all of the follow-up investigations within the department.
The division also has a large caseload of self-initiated cases.
Officers from the patrol force take the initial complaint from a citizen

solvability factor,
will assign a detective for the case follow-up.

crimes they are assigned such as collection of physical evidence, interview and
interrogation techniques, computer technology and the back to basics leg work to
solve their cases.
The
division works closely with several other agencies to investigate their cases
and to network information such as the State police agencies, surrounding local
agencies, ICE, IRS, N.A.T.F., F.B.I., A.T.F. and the Barnstable County
